How to unlock the full potential on your Nvidia GPU’s when in opencl or Cuda compute mode as used for Ethereum mining.

Using this method I got my MSi GTX 970 from 18.33 to 20.95 Mh/s

  1. sir plz answer me, my gtx 970 get me around 10 mh/sec only !! i got three and they get me 30 only !! i updated my drivers and gone through BOTH ur tutorials but i still dont seem to be able to go above this rate, is this about win 10 because am using win 8.1 ?? or what is going on with me exactly ??… thanks,,,

  2. I have an issue that i have yet to find a solution to. when I open my ETH miner, the command window opens up, it runs a few commands, ( 2 or 3 ) then immediately closes the command window. I am not at all sure what to do to fix this so I can get to mining ETH.

  3. Do you still use this technique or do you just use Nvidia Inspector with Afterburner? Im trying to figure out how to use all these and which ones I dont need to use that.. if there are two tools that do the same thing. I still cant get past 20.95 mh/s and thats not stable.. it drops down to 18.84 mh/s and back to 20.9.

  4. i have also Zotac gtx 1060 6gb (hynix memory) 6 cards rig give total 105Mh/s signle gives 17.5 Mh/s after some OC with power 72% memory +285 can you provide a good solution for improve my hash rate.if i increase the mem crash the mining

  5. Hi
I'm getting only between 1,5 – 2,5 Mhash for eth mining with gtx 1070. This is too low.

    I have a test system:
    Asus P5B motherboard (https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P5B/)
    Pentium CPU 2 cores
    4x1GB DDR2 800 Mhz
    SSD
    Win 10 pro 64 bit
Asus ROG Strix GTX1070 GPU connected directly on pci x16 slot.
    Nvidia drivers
    Cuda Toolkit
    Claymore dual miner v9.7

On Eth I could get only 1,5 – 2,5 MHash which is too low.

So my question is what is wrong ? My motherboard is too old to get 25+ Mhash ? What's you suggestions ?
    Thanks

  6. It seems like regardless of what I do, the clocks wont stick and my GTX 980 stays in P0.

Setup is win 10, 2x GTX 980, 1x GTX 1070, latest nvidia driver (older ones don't work well with my 1070).

For whatever reason I am only getting around 3MH/s with each GTX 980.

  7. FYI what worked for my MSI GTX 970 Gaming on Windows 10 <<<MAY NOT WORK ON YOUR RIG>>>
    1. Get latest NVIDIA drivers (384.76)
    2. Set "Optimize for Computer Performance" to "On" in NVIDIA Control Panel (under Manage 3D Settings, global settings tab)
    3. Run MSI Afterburner and overclock (power limit 110%, Core clock +100, Mem clock +550)
    4. Use NVSMI as per video:
    nvidia-smi -q -d PERFORMANCE
    nvidia-smi -q -d SUPPORTED_CLOCKS | more <<<to find your new, overclocked core/mem settings>>>
    nvidia-smi -ac 4055,1555
I'm running ethminer version 0.11.0rc1, with no special parameters (none seemed to really do any good, some made it worse).
This gets me to ~20.76 MH/s, with power at 82% and temps under 55C on the card per Afterburner.
    🙂
